MB Suncare Goes Pink!

During the month of October, Miami Beach Suncare #GoesPink in honor of breast cancer awareness. As part of our commitment to giving back, we have dedicated this month to raising awareness on the impact that cancer, and in particular, breast cancer can have on our community.  Only by working together can we make progress towards finding a cure.

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, it is estimated that among U.S. women there will be 246,660 new cases of invasive Breast Cancer and 40,450 Breast Cancer deaths just this year! If that isn’t enough, one in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime. This is an ongoing struggle for women and happens to be the most commonly diagnosed cancer. While it is less common in men, there is still an estimated 2,600 men that will be diagnosed each year.

We often forget that breast cancer not only impacts the individual, but also their friends, family, and loved ones. It’s never easy to watch someone you love suffer and while they may not be dealing with the disease physically, they are being affected by it mentally and emotionally. It is important to be supportive to the families who are dealing with breast cancer and for them to know that there are millions of people, nation-wide trying to find a solution to end this fight.

At MB Suncare, our primary goal is to increase awareness and prevention with respect to skin cancer. We take pride in promoting a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle to avoid any sort of disease, and this month, we focus on early detection and finding a cure for breast cancer. We want to STAND UP TO FOR THE CURE and support initiatives working to help end this vicious battle.

Together, we can fight breast cancer by detecting the early stages through mammograms, or breast cancer screenings. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month should be your head start to committing to a better living environment. Proper exercise, eating right, and having a positive attitude are three major keys to a stronger, healthier, and happier lifestyle.

It is also imperative to schedule annual check-ups and feel comfortable talking to your Doctor about any questions or concerns you may have. By giving back, spreading the word, and increasing awareness people are already doing their part without even knowing it – the movement flows and continues to grow.

During the month of October we participated at MBCiclovia where families joined us for fun, coloring activities related to Breast Cancer Awareness along with free sunscreen samples for everyone to stay protected throughout the day. We also donated MB Suncare samples to Making Strides for Breast Cancer for those influential women in our community to continue raising awareness. MB Suncare thrives on keeping the public safe from skin disease and as #MBGoesPink in October, we take pride in raising awareness for Breast Cancer.

On behalf of MB Suncare we would like to thank all of you for helping us make a difference and standing up for the cure by increasing education on Breast Cancer. To learn more about our efforts to give back, follow our Instagram and Twitter page @MBSuncare.
